In our quest for enhanced performance and fuel efficiency in our GM V8 and V6 engines, we recently put the OBDDFM Active Fuel Management (AFM/DFM) Disable Device to the test. This compact gadget promises to disable the factory AFM/DFM feature, which can sometimes lead to a frustrating driving experience due to unexpected power loss or engine noise. Right out of the box, the installation was straightforward, making it easy for us to plug it into the OBDII port without any fuss. Almost immediately, we noticed an improvement in throttle response and overall engine performance. Additionally, our fuel consumption appeared to stabilize, addressing one of our main concerns. The OBDDFM device is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to optimize their vehicle’s performance while bypassing the potential drawbacks of Active Fuel Management. Overall, our experience has been positive, and we believe it could be a game-changer for many GM owners.
