these are built fine. They aren't likely to fall apart in the first week. They are great in theory. I thoght when ordering they would be a brilliant solution. In practice, they just barely fit inside the freezer in the best of circumstances, but with even a small amount of frost on the freezer walls they get stuck. Stuck putting them in is one problem,but if you manage to put in several stacked,and then frost forms around the handles later,your food is trapped in a little food prison. But most boxed frozen foods will still be available, because they mostly don't fit these baskets. Its like playing extra games of Tetris simultaneously inside each Tetris block, while also solving the overall Tetris puzzle. What these are good for is storing bags of frozen vegetables, pizza rolls, tater tots. And flexible sealed ice packs that can be molded to efficiently fit the basket volume, but not stick out between the gaps locking them in once frozen. And these baskets take them away and create new gaps. The handles are problematic. If you leave them open, outside the basket, they allow nesting of the baskets. But if you put the baskets in the freezer in that position, there is insufficient space between the walls to close the handles. Closed handles, inside the basket, are necessary for stacking the basket. The handles are small and far apart, so it is unfeasible to grab both handles with 1 hand. That requires 2 arms to move these around inside the freezer and a 3rd arm to reach the thing in the lower basket you want. So, great if you have supernumerary arms. Our family is ALWAYS putting random odd things on top of the freezer lid, and it is indeed always a lot of work to figure out where else to put these things. That is why they end up on the freezer to begin with. So we often just lift the lid with stuff on it, let the wall behind stop them from falling off, and rummage around the freezer with one hand. Can't do that with these baskets stacked.

Even looking at them, they did not seem like they fit much. They're not as wide as I'd like and not enough room to fit a lot in each basket. These would be more for things in packages, small things of meat or small boxes. I buy fresh fruit and freeze them and it barely fit two cartons of strawberries. I will say they seemed to stack fine and not sit directly on top of the other cartons and squish them. I will play around with more items when I can.
